ArtsLab in GrantCraft

Oct. 04, 2014

ArtsLab is proud to be featured in an October 3, 2014 blog post in GrantCraft, an online publication for funders that exists to improve philanthropy through sharing wisdom and experiences from across sectors and strategic approaches.

The blog postArts Capacity Building Laboratory Shows Lasting Impactdiscusses the findings and implications of Capacity building and resilience, ArtsLab’s case study report released in June 2014. Capacity building and resilience is an in-depth look at how a cross section of eight small and midsized organizations that have participated in ArtsLab during the course of the past fifteen years have developed in capacity and adapted to change. The report’s researchers and authors, Sarah Lutman and M. Christine Dwyer, share their takeaways for the funding community--that vibrant arts organizations benefit from an environment in which they are supported in implementing changes and taking risks over a period of years, and are provided with opportunities to learn with and from each other.
